D–?–A–?–D Initiators Based on Benzophenone Conjugate Extension for Two-Photon Polymerization Additive Manufacturing

A two-photon polymerization initiator is a kind of nonlinear optical material. With the demand for more efficient initiators in additive manufacturing, there are and related studies. In this paper, four conjugate-extended with different alkane chain lengths were designed synthesized, single-photon, two-photon, photodegradation experiments carried out. Additive manufacturing illustrated that molecules can be used as initiators, writing speed achieve 100,000 ?m/s at laser power 25 mW. Through theoretical calculation experimental comparison properties conjugation degrees, it was proven certain degree extension improve initiation ability molecules; however, improvement cannot extended infinitely. Solubility tests acrylates showed have varying solubility. Changing molecular length may favorable to adapt monomers.
